Current Improvement Projects
These projects address critical safety, capacity, and infrastructure needs while preparing South Arkansas Regional Airport for continued growth.

Hangar Door Replacement
Replacement of an aging hangar door will improve safety, reliability, and access while protecting airport facilities and aircraft.
Airfield Regulator & Taxiway Edge Lighting Phase 1
New electrical regulators and taxiway edge lighting will improve nighttime visibility, operational reliability, and airfield safety.
Runway 4-22 PAPI Replacement
Rehabilitation of the Precision Approach Path Indicator systems will provide pilots with dependable visual approach guidance for Runway 4–22. The completed system will require an FAA flight inspection before returning to service.
Passenger Parking Expansion & Lighting
A new 150-by-80-foot parking area and upgraded lighting will provide additional passenger parking while improving visibility and safety around the terminal.

Commercial Air Service & Terminal Improvements
Terminal areas have been updated to support scheduled commercial jet service, including passenger processing, security screening, and comfortable waiting areas.
Security Camera Improvements
Additional security cameras have been installed near the terminal, hangar areas, and parking facilities to improve monitoring and strengthen airport security.
Exterior and Street Lighting Upgrades
Exterior terminal lighting and streetlight bulbs have been upgraded to improve nighttime visibility and create a brighter, safer environment around the terminal and parking areas.
